ear candy

Now that I think of it, that title brings up some kind of gross images.

I am a self-proclaimed New Music Addict. I have been downloading things like crazy lately, partly due to eMusic.com. Fifty free downloads is a new music addict's heaven (do it - you get 14 days free and you can cancel and keep the music. Not as good of a selection as iTunes, but you're bound to find something you like. And the songs aren't protected like they are on iTunes so they're not so tricky).

Some listen-worthy albums that I'm loving:

Everything Is Not Okay, by The Everybodyfields. This album is like butter. They are my new favorite. His voice is very unique and her rich, soothing voice balances his nicely. And the fiddle ... Love. It.

Funnel Cloud by Hem. I'm a little late to the game with this one (like most things), but this is really good. Her voice reminds me a little of Karen Carpenter.

Emotionalism and Four Thieves Gone by The Avett Brothers. I saw these guys at Workplay last month and they were the best show I have ever seen. I was so entertained that I giggled the entire time. Banjo, guitar, stand-up bass, a little screaming, witty lyrics, and a lot of fun. Get it.

The Trumpet Child by Over the Rhine. They are phenomenal. This album is fun and sexy. Love her voice.

Heartbreaker by Ryan Adams. Hate that I missed his Birmingham show. This is my first Ryan Adams album, but there will be more.
