best birthday ever

I received a call from my mother this morning asking what I wanted for my birthday, since that day - the one where I officially enter my late twenties - is rapidly approaching. I have been anticipating this call and had my answer ready: two tickets to Ray Lamontagne in Nashville on October 19th, please. She agreed! I passed out from excitement, woke up, then practically ran back to my desk to order the tickets.

Apparently, Ticketmaster won't let you buy two tickets online at the same time if they are not right next to each other (another reason for me to HATE Ticketmaster). For a few minutes I was very sad, but then Elisa came to the rescue by calling the Ticketmaster office in Nashville, finding two seats that were near enough to each other, and purchasing them for us on the phone. Phew! Potential concert disaster avoided. Thanks, E.

Am I too old to hold up a "Ray, will you marry me?" sign? Cause I think I might.
