it's good for mandie*

Before I begin, I would just like to say that I had a dream the other night where I ate tomato soup and apples with John Mayer in the house I grew up in. And at some point in the dream, we followed a poultry truck. Interesting.

I'm not much of a carnivore. I can get by without eating meat usually, and have actually considered being a vegetarian. Not because I dislike fur coats and things of the sort (although I do think they're hideous) but because I just don't want it much. But for the past few days I have been craving it. I can't get enough of the stuff.

Last night I was shopping and I got hungry, so I went around to all the food places in the mall, looking at their cookies, cupcakes, giant Joe Muggs rice krispie treats (have you seen those things? they're the size of concrete blocks), but none of that was appealing. I wanted meat. So as my "snack" I had a grilled chicken sandwich. Yeah, some people call that meal.

Tonight, craving more, I decided to go to Publix and get a rotisserie chicken meal, because eating rotisserie chicken at Publix is definitely a pleasure. The guy behind the counter didn't have good bird-cutting skills and couldn't get the chicken into quarters. Have gave me a half a chicken - at no extra charge. The meat gods smiled upon me.

*That was for you, Ginny.

I often feel the same way about meat. Often too, my cravings are for chicken.

Interesting.
