things i am currently obsessed with

  1. Bath products from Whole Foods. I use the WF store brand of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. It is great, smells great, and is cheap. We're talking, $1.99, folks. That isn't normal for organic products.
  2. Frozen fish. I'm trying to watch what I eat, and fish is a good low-cal protein and can be cooked zillions of ways. However, walk up to your local fish counter and you'll find that the fresh fish is rather pricey. I started buying frozen snapper (from Publix) and mahi mahi (from Whole Foods). For about $6, you get two large fillets which is really enough for four meals if you abide by the 3-4 ounce portion size for protein. Tastes great, too.
  3. Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Papaya. Ginny originally bought this for herself, and didn't like the color so I inherited it. Thanks, Ginny. It's lip balm that has a shimmery color. Makes your lips feel great, and doesn't look heavy like a lipstick. Not to mention the organic factor. Bonus.
  4. The side salad from Chick-fil-A. I never cease to be impressed by this fine dining establishment. They make the best side salad ever. They give you little packets of sunflower seeds and croutons to go on top, and the salad itself is very fresh. I recommend the fat-free raspberry vinaigrette. Yum.
  5. Samy Silk. It's this anti-frizz stuff for your hair, and it works wonders on my crazy mane. Doesn't make it fell heavy or gooey, so for someone who hates hair products - it ain't too shabby.

Weird! I have fallen in love with WF shampoo and conditioner and the burt's bees lip shimmers in the last two weeks. My lips and hair are very happy.

I'm glad you are finding new product obsessions. I am also obsessed with Vitamin Water. I feel so guilty buying it, even on sale. But it is so much better than regular water.

what kind of spices or whatever do you use on the mahi-mahi?

well, right now the recipe I have uses salt, pepper, and cumin, and then it's topped with this tomato-bean-cilatnro-olive mixture. but mahi mahi is a flakey white fish, so you can do a lot with it. it's like ocean chicken.
